The Centre caters for 12 people per day offering a 3day dementia-specific programme for people living at home in the Kingborough municipality and surrounding areas of Fern Tree, Mt Nelson and Lower Sandy Bay. A two day per week (Tuesday & Friday) program is offered to older people living at home in the Kingborough Municipality who are frail and/or have early memory loss and unable to access other social support services in the community.
Activities are tailored to needs, interests and capabilities of participants. An 11 seater bus collects people from their homes and returns home at the end of the day if the time permits. The Centre operates Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm excluding public holidays. A daily attendance fee is charged and will vary depending on the arrangements. Flexible respite hours are also offered to carers of people living with dementia. |
