A small family business Auburn Woodturning was long a part of Hawthorn’s history known locally as 'the woodturners' and is still making small quantity timber products by hand. Now located in Northcote Auburn Woodturning has kept the warm earthy feel of the past. The smell of freshly turned timber, scattered wood chips, and the hum of old motors will give you the feeling that you have stepped back in time. Virtually unchanged in over sixty years Auburn Woodturning uses the original lathes and hand chisels to craft timber to your exact needs.
