| Description: | FOR THE LOVE OF SINGING! Everyone has a bit of Diva in them, but for many the opportunity of a stage career is simply not a reality, and yet they have a love of music and a passion for singing. With this thought, The Rock’n Soul Choir was formed in early 2007 by three professional musicians. Candice, who has a degree in vocal pedagogy from the Australian Conservatorium of music; Susie a professional singer and Jerry who has had a career of writing, arranging and production of commercial music spanning 3 decades. The Rock ‘n Soul Choir creates a fun environment for talent of all ages, to develop professional techniques and sing with fellow singers and musicians, rehearsing rock and pop tunes from the 60’s & 70’s, through to present day. For members from the Strathfield and Ryde Districts, the Choir meets every Monday night at The Argyle Centre, Blaxland Rd, Ryde and a second Rock’n Soul Choir rehearses Tuesday nights at The Baulkham Hills Community Centre. New members (male and female) are always welcome to join the Choir. There are no auditions, no pressure and no need to have a perfect voice. Just a sense of humour and a love of singing.
